• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

For the record I was thinking something like Throh Storm Throws Mankey into the opposing...I dunno Aipom. Mankey's Anger Point is activated and Mankey Dynamicpunches Aipom on contact for a +6 100 power SE auto-confuse. i'm not sure what your post meant exactly but it didn't seem like the same...

...damn. It's completely misleading. It's not even an actual throw. Completely disregard my questions then. Also Circle Throw doesn't guarantee the Anger Point boost.

Of course I could further combo that with something like...let's say Dynamicpunch from my partner. Would the Normal-typed damage still happen and roll, or would it just transmute into the 100 BP Fighting damage? Would they roll for separate crits? What if I specified that Dynamicpunch happen...

When you say "normal damage" do you mean Normal-typed damage, or just regular old Fighting damage? Also would it roll for crit?

Can I use Storm Throw in a double battle to throw my partner into another Pokemon? How would that affect the type/damage of the move? Since Storm Throw is always a critical hit, would it activate my partner's Anger Point? Obviously it would also damage the thrown Pokemon but would it equate...

Forgot the Taillow thing. That would be ignored yeah, it's on a couple of other Pokemon. But anyway it's moot.

Is it okay if I use this list of things (if I ever ever get to my reffings guh stupid Omski) Like Tangrowth's thick vines taking one or two percent off of damage or Lumineon taking a bit less energy for "wind" attacks. Because some of these are pretty cool. And it's not drastically...

Is Fire Blast reffed as a fireball that hits the target and then spreads into a five-point star, or does it unfurl into a star the moment it leaves the user's mouth? (Or whatever they're using for it) If the former, could you give me an estimate on the size of said fireball?

Iirc it only takes an action if there's considerable distance/the intercepting Pokemon is considerably slow. I believe you could, say, fire off a Mega Drain while intercepting a Water Pulse or something to that effect. Provided you're not confused or anything.

So we could easily say "if they Protect, still smack the Sub around" or something to that effect?

Would Surf be able to wake a Pokemon up?

Could Acrobatics be used to cling to the side of a wall (much like the Acrobatics travel power in many superhero mmo's)? Would this give an immunity to Ground attacks or Earthquake at least?

"Does Sheer force negate: Healing of Drain Punch, status removing of wake-up Slap/Smeelingsalt, 100% effects like Rock Slide? what about Life Orb like in the games?" "It negates all those except life orb recoil." That's what was confusing me, thanks for clarifying

That also contradicts the ruling that it doesn't bypass items. Also, what about self-inflicted things such as Thrash's confusion or the Hammer Arm drop? I think there needs to be some sort of set criteria or a list or something.

    Attacks and Abilities Guide

I actually really like that, as inconvenient as it is as far as Drain Punch. Does it therefore override Hammer Arm's Speed drop and Superpower/Close Combat's drops? What about effects such as Round or Echoed Voice being used to wake up an ally?

    Attacks and Abilities Guide

Sheer Force negates the Speed-lowering effect of Bulldoze and Rock Tomb, the flinch of Fake Out, the drops from Snarl and Struggle Bug, the burn from Inferno, confusion from Dynamicpunch, and the paralysis from Zap Cannon. So Sheer Force does affect things that have 100% chances. However it...
